Hi, I’m Vallen

I'm glad you found your way here.

I'm the founder of Evelyn James & Company, where we support families after pregnancy and infant loss, and train the professionals who care for them.

If You’ve Lost A Baby

You don't have to be ready for anything.

There's a free guide you can download and not open for six months. There's a support line you can call or text at any hour. There's a community of people who will never ask you to be further along than you are.

Whenever you're ready. Not before.

If You Care For Families Who Have

You've sat with a family whose baby died, and you did it with whatever you had.

We train perinatal professionals in trauma-informed pregnancy and infant loss care: nurses, doulas, midwives, therapists, hospital teams. Live cohorts, self-paced training, and a certification pathway.

Our goal is 10,000 of us by 2032.

Why Any of This Exists

My daughter Evelyn died during labor. She was full-term. My husband was deployed, and I went through it without him.

The doula, the nurse, and the midwife who cared for me that night are the reason I'm still standing.

When I went looking for a training so I could give it to someone else, I found out it barely existed- at least in the way I envisioned it.

So I built it.
