Meet the Team
Vallen Webb
Founder & Lead Trainer
Vallen Webb is a Certified Postpartum & Bereavement Doula, Host of The Pregnancy and Motherhood Podcast, and founder of Evelyn James & Company- named after her daughter, who was stillborn at 40 weeks and 5 days. Her story is both the foundation and the heartbeat of this training. She is currently in graduate school, completing her Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program to support families and the company further.
Vallen’s mission is to change how we show up for loss families, to normalize grief, professionalize & personalize bereavement support, and help providers step into this sacred work with courage and compassion. You’ll walk away not only informed but empowered.
Leila Walker
Co-Trainer
Leila Walker is a Full-Spectrum birth and postpartum birthworker and FEMM-trained fertility awareness specialist. She has been an educator her entire life and has a passion for helping people use their own skills and strengths to empower themselves, in birth and in life. She completed her doula training through Bebo Mia, is trained in the FEMM fertility management program, and is currently working on her childbirth educator training through Cornerstone Birthworker Training. She specializes in emotional, physical, and informational support for every stage of life, whether that’s navigating boundaries in the postpartum period or creating a personalized birth wishes plan to prep for labor. She believes that her compassion and focus on non-judgmental and evidence-based support help her work with any client and their specific needs.
FAQs
Q: Do I need to be a doula already?
Not at all. Many of our students are new to the field or come from adjacent backgrounds (nursing, therapy, peer support, etc.)
Q: Is this training inclusive?
Yes. This training centers on LGBTQIA+ families, BIPOC families, and diverse lived experiences. It’s rooted in love, not assumptions.
Q: I’ve experienced my own loss — is this safe for me?
We hold space for your story here. While this training is professional in focus, you are welcome to move through it in a way that honors your own journey. Vallen shares her own story throughout, and we believe grief-knowledgeable humans are the best kind.
Q: Does this training include Termination For Medical Reasons ( TFMR) or Abortion?
At Evelyn James & Company, we support all forms of pregnancy and infant loss — including miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, SIDS, TFMR, abortion, ectopic pregnancy, and more.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made 30+ days before training: Full refund minus $25 admin fee
Cancellations within 30 days: No refunds, but transfer to future training is allowed within 12 months
No-shows: No refund or transfer will be provided, but you will receive the replays.
If we cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund or a priority spot in the next training.
